4K to 18.8K while growing a baby
The starting point
I started @aramintalombard documenting our small London flat. At 4K followers, most people assume you’re too small to earn.
What I did
I grew to 18.8K while I was pregnant, by leaning into the phase of life I was in rather than working around it. I used the same approach I teach my clients: hooks that stop the scroll, repeatable formats and the confidence to pitch brands for paid work, even at 4K followers.
The result
I’ve been earning since 4K followers, with paid partnerships, UGC and ad content for some of my favourite brands, including COAT Paints and Cowshed. Hundreds of people have downloaded the guides I’ve created.
One reel reached 4.7M views, my account reached around 5M views in a single month, and it’s on 2M views in the last 30 days.

I grew my whippet Lilah’s account to 34K followers, and she worked with big brands including Amazon and Baby Jogger. She’s retired from Instagram now, but it’s proof the approach works in more than one niche.
