When organic reach is in decline..

Your posts are just as good, if not better, but they seem to be getting less likes. Sound familiar? You're not the only one. The organic reach of your social media posts are declining, and whilst Facebook seems to be affected the most, this is no longer unique to that particular platform.

Now that all of your key platforms are trying to limit your post reach to tempt you in to using their paid advertising tools, is posting on social media a waste of time?

No way! Social media marketing is rapidly changing, and this is not set to slow down. This is an opportunity, not a hinderance. In order to succeed on social media we have to remain open minded, thoughtful, and creative.

It's an exciting time for social media marketing as new developments force us to truly connect with our customers, take an interest in each individuals experiences, and create a personalised experience.

My advice?

  • Think quality, over quantity when it comes to posting. Be creative, reactive and unique.

  • If you are going to engage with social media advertising, do it properly and strategically.

  • Use this opportunity to connect with, and learn from your customers and followers. Are your customers who you think they are? How do they actually behave on social media? What do they think of your offering?
