Know Your SH#T

Here at Araminta Marketing, we know a thing or two about Instagram, including the notorious art of hashtagging. When promoting your brand and products, understanding the most effective way to hashtag is crucial for building your social media presence.

There is enormous potential to grow awareness of your brand using hashtags if you know the correct way to do it. We’re here to help you increase your Instagram reach and engagement (we're super nice like that).

Did you know that overusing the same hashtags for every post hinders your chance to attract new followers? Or that using bots to comment and like other people’s posts can put your account at risk of being shut down or suspended?

Here are some of our hashtagging tips:

1) Write your hashtags in a comment below the post - Instagram allows you to add up to 30 hashtags with each post, however this is likely to clutter the key message of the caption. We love to go crazy with hashtagging as it maximises influence and engagement!

2) Mix up your #'s – In order to impact as many people as possible, it’s important to be creative with your hashtags. By all means keep some generic hashtags for your posts but think of some new, specialised ones for reaching people searching for niche subjects.

3) Use a hashtag checker – We love top-hashtags.com for helping us find new and inventive hashtags around a particular topic that we might not (probably wouldn’t) have thought of ourselves!

4) Upload hashtags from your notes – The notes sections of our phones are full of a hashtags we copy into the comments once our post has been uploaded. This saves a HUGE amount of time instead of writing 30 hashtags each time.

However, if this all seems a bit much, get in touch to find out how we can help you with your #ing strategy (ha, rhyme) #😆
