From the fanny facial, to the chemical free condom, to the consumer driven porn sites, there's a been huge rise in conversation around all things intimate and it's wellbeing-retelad. As it should be! It makes it all a bit less pervy, and a bit more informative.

We work with brands who aim to market by informing and educating their consumers. If they have access to helpful & important information, we always consider their social responsibility to educate in areas surrounding their expertise. That is half the point of social media after all. So, here's whats-up down-below for your consideration and marketing inspiration..

Reddit Gone Wild

You know that Reddit is a platform for rating movies..you might not know what kiiinda movies. All kinds! Reddit Gone Wild is their sub-website that rates user-generated, feminist friendly, liberating porn. User-generated content is the dream for any brand or marketing agency.

Organic Condoms & Tampons

Your genital area has some of the most sensitive skin, and seeing as 80% of what goes on to your skin, goes in.. it's worth having a think about what goes in or on there. Companies like Sustain and TOTM Organic have not only created solutions for this, they are doing all they can to educate people that up until now, your most accessible sanitary products and condoms have been full of chemicals. You wouldn't believe some of the things we've been putting inside ourselves. Periods can be bad enough without giving your body any extra stress!

Butt & Fanny Facials

These are all the rage right now..well..not quite, but there are early rumblings of under-pampering. Like most wellbeing trends, these are springing up in LA and NYC first. Butts & Fanny Facials are treatments for acne, ingrowing hairs etc. I don't know anyone who has admitted to have had one yet but I love that journalists are taking the plunge. Even if these treatments don't end up being as part of our routine as a mani-pedi or a wax, it's great that people are talking about the skincare problems openly, and offering solutions.

Kegel's

In a lot of countries, your GP will recommend you do Kegel exercises at certain points in your life including during and after pregnancy. A weak pelvic flaw can lead to all sorts of problems in later life including bladder control. However, good old England, we don't like to talk to much about that kind of thing. This is all about to change with brands like Elvie - their product not only looks beautiful, they have a really cool app to track your success.

The Spiritual Side

These consumers are become more aware of their bodies, whether it be what they're eating or through yoga, or through mindfulness. Euphoric related activities tend to trend at times of societal unrest or instability. As a result of this, we are now seeing a rise in alternative medicine & therapies, as well as spiritual awareness. Look out for an uprise in the interest of karma sutra, reiki treatments and other chakra related support. Sexual exploration and sensuality will be a big part of this.

What do all their marketing strategies have in common?

Tone of voice - it doesn't have to be awkward & boring, these brands are cool, calm and kinda funny when appropriate.

Style - no one wants to affiliate putting something unattractive in, on or around that area. They have beautiful packaging, nice branding, great imagery. I follow their Instagram pages because they are bold, brave and very stylish. To me, that implies they know what they're talking about and who they're talking about it too. Obviously it's good to double check facts though.

Education - these brands are genuinely trying to create solutions, but first, we need to know what the problem is.

Testimonial - world of mouth referral is key to any brand, but especially those that people might not be ready to publicly refer yet. I might Instagram a cool condom or a a nicely package tampon subscription, but I understand not every will want to.
